 Seldom have I looked at a newcomer with so much confidence and said, "My God, now here's a star." Strangely, while some critics in Mumbai have found Madhavan's presence and performance over-the-top, elsewhere he's being hailed as the Next Best Thing. How do we explain this dichotomy except by resorting to a conspiracy theory? Q : How is this attention affecting now?
A : I have become more self-conscious. Earlier, no girl would look my way. It's become embarrassing for me to explain.
Q: So you got some 30 offers after Alaipayuthe? And another film with Mani Ratnam?
