Yaavarum Nalam: Movie released
YAVARUM NALAM movie released across 550 screens worldwide on 6th March. Directed by National Award winning director Vikram. K. Kumar. Madhavan is acting as a family man with Mumbai girl Neethu Chandra as his lead pair in Yaavarum Nalam. The YAVARUM NALAM film also stars Poonam Dhillon, Sachin Khedekar & Murali Sharma, with music by the trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Yavarum Nalam movie is their second Tamil language film after ‘Aalavandhan’.

Yaavarum Nalam: Audio Launch
The audio of the Madhavan starrer Yaavarum Nalam was launched on February 19th, 2009. With this film, the Reliance Group's Big Pictures forays into Kollywood.
With a powerful performer Madhavan at the helm, Yavarum Nalam is a must-watch. A horror-thriller which is simultaneously made in Hindi (13B) and Tamil, Yavarum Nalam is directed by Vikram Kumar (of Alai fame).
Yavarum Nalam introduces Neetu Chandra to Kollywood. This beautiful Bollywood actress, famous even in Tamil Nadu with several TV ads, will be a real crowd-puller.
The film’s biggest attraction is P.C. Sreeram’s cinematography. With his excellent cinematographic skills, Yavarum Nalam is bound to stand out forever. Incidentally, he is the one who cranked the camera for Madhavan’s debut movie Alaipaiyuthe.

Guru Enn Aallu: Movie launched on May 02, 2008
Madhavan will be seen in Guru En Aalu pretty soon. The film’s pooja and shooting began on May 2, 2008, at Arunachalam Colony, Adayar. The film is produced by K.R.G. and directed by Selva. Mamtha is the heroine.

Vazhthugal: Audio released on Jan 03, 2008
The audio of the Madhavan-Bhavana starrer Vazhthugal, directed by Seeman, was held on January 3. Vazhthugal has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who looks forward to carry on his terrific form into 2008. The movie has already raised expectations as it is said that the film does not contain any English words in its dialogues. The film, initially titled Vazhthukkal, was renamed Vazhthugal on the advice of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi. The film will hit screens for Pongal.

Madhavan at Mega Star Nite
Madhavan participated in the Mega Star Nites held in Malaysia and Singapore on December 21st and 23rd respectively. The events were part of Nadigar Sangam 75 years Tamil Cinema celebrations which were kickstarted in August 2007. Madhavan's film Aarya was premiered at the August event in Singapore.
Both the shows were well recieved by the sudience and proved to be great successes. The events were jointly organised by the NAdigar Sangam, Radaan Mediaworks and Galatta Global Events.

Evano Oruvan Charity Show
The Madhavan-Sangeetha starrer Evano Oruvan is yet to be officially released in India. However, yesterday there was a special screening of the movie in Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai. The screening was for a special cause. Sponsored by Apollo Hospitals and Singapore Airlines, this was a charity show whose proceeds were given to "Save a Child's Heart" (SACH) Foundation, an initiative by Apollo Hospitals to help underprivileged children by heart disease.
Madhavan along with Mr. Bharath Mahadevan (Singapore Airlines Representative) presented a cheque of Rs. 3.25 lakhs to Dr. Srinidhi Chidambaram, Co-coordinator for "Save a Child's Heart".

Evano Oruvan: Grand screening in the U.S.
Evano Oruvan the movie starring Madhavan and Sangeetha was screened in the U.S amidst great excitement and celebration. Actors Madhavan and Sangeetha and Nishikant Kamat, director of the film along with Mr.Venkatesh Sadagopan, Marketing Head and Coordinator of Jersey Rhythms, New Jersey, U.S.A were present during the screening.
Evano Oruvan is the remake of the Marathi movie Dombivili Fast. Madhavan's production company, Leukos International has bought the worldwide distributorship of the film. The movie will be screened for a preview in countries other than India before its release.Evano Oruvan will hit screens in India only in April next year only after the series of special shows in the US, Canada, Middle East, Malaysia and Singapore.
Said to be one of the most thought-provoking films Evano Oruvan has raised great expectations in the industry. The screening in U.S. is another proof for its exclusivity.

Madhavan inaugurates Food Court at Olympia Park
Taking time off his busy schedule, Madhavan inaugurated the 25,000 square feet food court at Olympia Park, Guindy.
Looking real smart in an all white attire, Madhavan was unperturbed by all the adulation around him. He cut a red ribbon and also lit the traditional lamp. After the inauguration of the food court, the actor donned a chef's cap!
Chef Maddy prepared a hot noodle dish which was then auctioned for a cool Rs 50000. Ajith Kumar Chordia, Managing Director, Olympia Technology Park bought 'Noodles a la Maddy'. The proceeds were donated to the NGO Banyan.

Maddy as Producer
Madhavan's production house Leukos Films' first offering Evano Oruvan is being screened in the U.S and Middle East between October 26th and November 12th. The film will also be screened in Canada, Singapore and Malaysia. The special shows are being sponsored by HSBC and Santoor.
Remake of the National award winning Marathi blockbuster Dombvili Fast, Evano Oruvan is written and directed by Nishikanth Kamat, who wrote and directed the Marathi film as well. The special shows will allow the Indian film lovers abroad to interact with the cast and crew of the film; also ten lucky winners from each city will have the opportunity to dine with the cast. Madhavan is very proud about this film. He believes that this kind of a movie has never been attempted in Tamil cinema before and is one of his best films till date. Besides Madhavan, the film stars Sangeetha, Seeman and child actor Shruthi.
Sanjay Jadhava is the cinematographer and Amit Pawar has edited the film. The title song has been written by Na. Muthukumar and composed by G.V. Prakash. The background score for the film is by P. Sameer. Art direction is by Nagu. Madhavan has himself written the dialogues, under Seeman's supervision. The film is releasing in India on December 7th

Aarya Premiere in Singapore
As part of the 75 years of Tamil Cinema celebrations organised by Radaan Mediaworks and Galatta Global Events, the world permiere of Madhavan's film Aarya will be held on 9th August 2007 at Plaza Theatre, Singapore. Madhavan will be present at the world premiere. The film directed by Balasekaran, starring Bhavana, Prakash Raj and Vadivelu is an action film. The songs written by Pa.Vijay have been composed by Mani Sharma.

Madhavan's Aarya on 10th August
Madhavan's long awaited film Aarya will be hitting the screens on 10th August. The film will also have a world premiere on the same day in Singapore at the 75years of Tamil Cinema celebration.
This film has Madhavan in an action role. A thorough entertainer, the film convey the message of countering violence without actually reacting violently to it. The film directed by Balasekaran has the talented and lovely Bhavana cast opposite Madhavan The movie has been shot in the wonderful picturesque locales of Vizag, Hydeabad and Chennai. Madhavan: Brand Ambassador for Univercell
Univercell, the mobile store company, has finally joined the bandwagon of celebrity endorsements. The brand ambassador for the company is none other than dynamic and talented actor R. Madhavan popularly known as Maddy. At the press conference, Madhavan came sporting trendy red-streaked hair and a diamond stud in his ear, clearly thrilled to be a part of this venture. He accepted being a tech-savvy person and volunteered to help anyone who could not cope up with today's gizmo technology. (In case you did not know, Madhavan is a graduate in Electronics and extremely tech-savvy.)

Madhavan voted cutest vegetarian
R. Madhavan and Kareena Kapoor have been crowned winners in the first-ever "Cutest Vegetarian" online poll conducted by PETADishoom – People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals' (PETA) India's youth division.
It was a close race with stiff competition from Mallika Sherawat, Mahima Chaudhary, Shahid Kapur and Rajneesh Duggal. In the male category, heartthrob Madhavan won hands down. A familiar face on Hindi TV, he became the blue-eyed boy of Kollywood. A strong supporter of vegetarianism, Madhavan has always encouraged youngsters to go vegetarian for their health, the animals and the environment.
He appeared in an ad in which he crammed himself into a cage to show the suffering of chickens. He also made a pro-vegetarian public service announcement, did an introduction in Tamil for PETA 's "Compassionate Citizen" education program and launched PETADishoom.com’s popular pro-vegetarian online e-card.
