The film is all about love and its coincidences are very far-fetched. But when did films stay close to logic and possible themes? Still, this is what sells and viewers will find it really engrossing and find it hard to leave their seats out for a smoke. Vivek has maintained a fine comedy track. The enticing beauty Trisha adds to the lustre of the film with her role opposite Shaam.

The film begins with Vivek, who wants to start some business and gets a huge chunk of money from his parents for that. But he fails to get a foothold and pretends to his parents that he is really into some serious job. He goes about spending the money lavishly. But one fine day, when his grandfather Radha Ravi wants to know what exactly is going on with his business life, Vivek is thrown into a quandary. He goes to his friend Shaam for help and requests him to say that all of Shaam's asset belongs to him. Shaam concedes with his request and acts like his secretary when Radha Ravi makes an entry. This way, a fine comedy track is maintained, and one day Shaam meets Trisha, a relative of Vivek. Their very first meeting proves to be an unhappy misunderstanding and they get into a lot of petty quarrels. Shaam makes a startling revelation of his love to Trisha by kissing her on the cheeks; Shaam is speechless when he comes to know that Trisha is already married.

Then comes a flashback with Madhavan as a gentle professor in the college where Trisha studies and later they get married after some interaction and entertainment. In his act against the politics which are taking place in the college, Madhavan is entangled in a serious problem, accused of murder and faces the death sentence. When Shaam comes to know of all these facts, he and Trisha go and meet Madhavan in prison, where Madhavan tells a lie for the lovers to join. This lie makes Trisha hate him all the more; the film closes with the lovers marrying each other. The twists in the film have been maneuvered in a fine way and these twists astound the users all the way through the film.
